Upakarma means ‘the beginning.’ After a holy dip in a sacred river or pond or Tritha, people change the sacred thread and wear a new one. Symbolically the ritual means a new beginning.

Yajur  Upakarma is on Saturday, August 25.

Men can come at either 7:00 am or 9:00 am.
