SRI RAMA NAVAMI – Sita Rama Kalyanam

The ninth day of Vasantha Navarathri is celebrated as Rama Navami, the birthday Lord Rama.
At Sri Venkateshwara temple SITA RAMA KALYANAM will be celebrated in the morning. Devotees can play the role of parents of the divine couple. Performing the wedding at this special occasion of His birth brings many blessings to the family, like marital happiness and welfare of children.
Various opportunities for sponsorship are available. Register to participate using the link RAM NAVAMI.
Sri Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu was born on Chaitra Masa, Shukla Paksha Navami, as a son of King Dasaratha in Ayodhya. Ramayana, the story of Lord Rama’s life speaks of many stories of valour and courage in freeing the world of many demons and giving moksha to devotees who surrendered in soul to Him. He represented sacrifice, indomitable courage, honesty, and strength. He is revered as the Purushothama who was endowed with the sixteen virtues, and is looked upon as a model son, husband, king, brother and more.
It is practice in many parts of India celebrating the wedding of Rama, ‘the Soul’ and Sita ‘the mind’ in spring time, during Rama Navami. Sita Devi is the Jivatma who was absolutely devoted to Her husband, Lord Rama, the Paramatma. They lived the life of the perfect wedded couple. They stayed together in happiness and distress. This is to show all mankind that when the we completely surrender our thoughts and actions to Him, our mind will be freed from all material distractions and merge with the Supreme.
Divine marriages are celebrated at homes and temples repeatedly every year, as Loka Shanthi, to bring peace and prosperity to all.

We invite all of you to participate in this celestial wedding and get divine blessings
