The purpose of Havan and Abhishekam on Shani Jayanti is to please Lord Shani with prayers and visiting Shani temples, so that luck and fortune are received by individuals. It is believed that position of Shani in the horoscope along with other Navagraha should be nice so that one’s hard work is paid off in this life.
Shani is said to control life, death, wealth, home, children, results of legal suits, thefts, illnesses related to intestines etc. Thus, in a nutshell, Shani can do wonders if it is favorably placed for someone but can be quite troublesome, even evil, if inauspicious or placed with negative stars.
To overcome such troubles and evil effects, our Temple priests are performing a Special Shani Havan and Abhishekam on this special day of Shani Jayanti on Sunday, June 2nd at 10 a.m.
